The Directorate of the Galapagos National Park is responsible for the conservation of the ecological integrity and biodiversity of island and marine ecosystems of the protected areas of the archipelago, as well as the rational use of goods and services they generate for the community.

Our work
The work of the Directorate of the Galapagos National Park encompasses protected areas of Galapagos (National Park and Marine Reserve), as well as the development of local populations, of which it is a part.



Our vision
The vision of the Galapagos National Park includes the local sustainable development of the population as an essential part for preserving the integrity of natural ecosystems, which depend for their welfare. The new laws reflect this new vision.

The Directorate of the Galapagos National Park has internal and external mechanisms to ensure, evaluate and improve the quality of its management.
