
 Annual fishing boat permits
Description
Only artisanal fishing vessels that have fishing licenses provided for in this section may be used for artisanal fishing activities within the GMR, under the terms established in the current regulations.
The fishing permit will be granted by boat, after technical inspection by the DIRNEA in coordination with the GNPS and will be valid for one year from date of issuance.
Any craft that make fishing operations in the RMG shall have on board, besides the documents required by law, the corresponding fishing permit. The captain, master or shipbuilder who infringes on this article shall be penalized in accordance with the provisions of the Organic Law for the Special Regimen for the Conservation and Sustainable Development of Galapagos (LOREG) and the Codification of the Law of Forestry and Conservation of Natural Areas and Wildlife.

Procedure
To obtain or renew the fishing permit, the proprietor or his representative must submit a request to:

Including the following:
- Authenticated copy of the valid PARMA license, of the owner of the boat. When he or the proprietors of the boat, acquired it by succession upon death, he/they are not obligated to comply with this requirement.
- In case of renewal, original and previous PARMA license. This document will be exchanged for a license that will be delivered to the person concerned after completion of the renewal process.
- Authenticated copy of valid registration of the vessel, issued by the DIRNEA.
- Copy of citizenship card.
- ID or certificate of permanent resident status granted by a competent authority.
- Copy of voting certificate which attests to having voted during the last election, or which establishes that the corresponding sanction has been completed, or a document justifying your nonparticipation.
- Not to be in fault of payments for fines that may have been imposed by the Galapagos National Park Service.
The traffic permit will be granted by the DIRNEA after the GNPS issues the relevant fishing permit.
